Spring Wine and Cheese Weekend Event

The 2008 Spring Wine and Cheese Weekend, sponsored
by our friends at McCadam Cheese, is an incredibly
popular event, combining the classic tastes of wine
and cheese into one delectable weekend. It is a
self-guided tour around beautiful Seneca Lake and
a chance to visit up to 35 unique wineries. Start
by picking up your gift item and recipe book at
your assigned starting winery and receive your first
sampling of a new wine release or perhaps a barrel
wine sample!
This weekend event, like all our wine and food
pairing events, is a great opportunity for people
to experience a vast array of food/wine combinations.
Wine is rarely consumed alone, and what specific
food you eat with a specific wine greatly impacts
the tastiness of each. So this weekend is a terrific
chance for you to sample an incredible variety of
combinations and, when you find a wine/food pair
that really lights up your palate, you can buy a
few bottles of the wine for later, buy the McCadam
cheese from your local grocery store, then prepare
the food at home using the recipe book, and introduce
your friends and family to that particularly delightful
combination

Cost: $12.00 plus 8% sales tax (one passport per

Our region is known for literally some of the world's
finest Rieslings. Now in its third year, the Passport
is a terrific value. Armed with this little booklet,
the Passport enables wine enthusiasts to enjoy a
free flight of wines at each of the participating
wineries, many of which may include a sample of
Riesling. (As we get closer to the passport sale
date, wineries and maps will be provided.)
Here is how it works: First of all, starting winery
points are not assigned for this passport program
- YOU MAY START WHERE YOU LIKE! With the purchase
of this passport, visit any of the participating
wineries, receive a free** flight of wines at each
winery, and please make sure they stamp or mark
the appropriate space in your Riesling to Visit
Passport. At the end, provided you have visited
at predetermined number of wineries by the end of
the summer, follow the instructions in your passport
and return it to our office to be entered in a prize
drawing for the "Ultimate Cruisin' Weekend
2009!". Also take advantage of the opportunities
from our accommodations and other businesses listed
in the passport.

We host two separate Deck the Halls event weekends
each year. One is November 21-23, 2008 and the other
is December 5-7, 2008.
Time: Friday, 1-5 p.m.*, Saturday/Sunday, 10 a.m.
to 5 p.m.
*Wineries not participating in Friday Deck the
Halls 2008 are as follows: - Belhurst - Chateau
LaFayette Reneau - Bloomer Creek Vineyards. (These
two wineries do not participate in the event at
all: Miles Wine Cellars & Red Tail Ridge Winery).

Tickets are limited, as are the tickets available
to start at each participating winery, so order
early.

This is our 17th annual Deck the Halls! Go to your
assigned starting winery and begin a weekend of
fun and festivities while sampling holiday wines
and food tastings. The wineries are decorated for
the holiday season. Over the two day weekend event,
visit up to 34 wineries and enjoy a weekend of fun
and relaxation.
EACH TICKET includes a grapevine wreath and recipe
book, to be picked up at your starting winery, then
enjoy decorating your Christmas wreath with a unique
ornament from each winery you visit.
EACH PERSON receives a food and wine pairing at
each participating winery. With the recipe book
you will be able repeat the delectable wine/food
combinations at home to introduce your friends and
family to the pairings you most enjoyed!
This is mostly a three day weekend event - you can
go any one day, or come out for the whole weekend

Events for Keuka Lake
World Tour of Food and Wine II
At this late date, you can purchase tickets at any
Wegmans Food Market Stores for the advance price
until Friday, April 18th at Noon. After that, you
may purchase at the door of any of the participating
wineries. Please call us if you have any questions

April 19-20
Join us for two inspiring days of food and wine
pairings on quaint and charming Keuka Lake. Each
winery has selected a country or regional food to
feature along with fine wines. As you drive along
the wine trail, you may taste German food at one
stop followed by an Asian dish at another. Increase
your wine knowledge and understanding of why certain
foods are paired with specific styles of wine. A
wonderful event for those who truly love to try
unique foods and wines. Get your tickets early as
this is sure to be a popular event. Fee $20 per
person in advance, $25 per person at the door. Each
ticket includes a signature plate and wineglass.
Keuka In Bloom
May 17-18
Spring is in the air and flowers and herbs are
blooming around Keuka Lake. Each ticket holder will
collect a healthy flower and herb in 4" pots
at each winery. Each attendee will enjoy food and
wine pairings along with a complimentary wine trail
wineglass. Enjoy the rebirth of the new season and
start your own garden! An early sell-out, tickets
are advance sale only. Fee $30 single, $45 couple
ticket.

Barbecue at the Wineries I
June 7-8
Join us for a terrific summer celebration! Each
winery will be offering its best barbecue foods
and recipes paired with a selection of great wines
that are sure to set the standard for your BBQ success.
Sauces served at each winery are all produced by
local NYS businesses. Fee $25 per person in advance,
$30 per person at the door; $40 per couple in advance,
$45 per couple at the door.

June 28-29

Harvest Tour of Food and Wine
September 13-14
We invite you to experience the fall season touring
the wineries of Keuka Lake and tasting foods bursting
with the flavors of harvest time in the Finger Lakes.
The Keuka Lake Wine Trail is teaming up with the
Finger Lakes Culinary Bounty to showcase food and
wine pairings that demonstrate just why we are so
lucky to live in the heartland of New York's agricultural
mecca. Come taste the exquisite wines of Keuka Lake
and sample unique dishes produced from the area's
finest agricultural products. A truly new and unique
event that is sure to lift your spirit and warm
your soul.

November 15-16
Hearty winter foods are featured with our award-winning
red wines! Each ticket holder will receive a grapevine
wreath at their starting winery and an ornament
from each participating winery. Each attendee will
receive a free holiday wine glass along with food
and wine pairings. Come see the wineries decorated

and recipes are included. Participants are eligible
to win one of our Grand Prizes by turning in your
ticket at the end of the event.

Grapehound Wine Tour
The Cayuga Wine Trail is hosting its third annual
celebration of greyhound adoption, The Grapehound
Wine Tour. This unique wine tasting event promotes
greyhound adoption in the region and brings together
greyhounds and their owners with visitors who have
never considered adopting a greyhound. Attendees will
receive a commemorative greyhound wine glass and enjoy
wine tasting and food pairings at each winery throughout
the weekend.
Starting with the welcome at Montezuma Winery on
Thursday, July 24th, this regional wine event has
cookouts, concerts, greyhound vendors and doggie
ice cream socials. On Friday start the wine event
at either King Ferry Winery or Long Point Winery
on the east side of Cayuga Lake. At 5:00pm that
day join us at Knapp Winery for a glass of wine
and a few hors doeuvres and an evening concert
under the stars at Buttonwood Winery. On Saturday
and Sunday the wine event continues at the west
side wineries from Montezuma Winery in Seneca Falls
at the north to Six Mile Creek Vineyard in Ithaca
at the south. A walk to beautiful Taughannock Falls
on Sunday morning and a doggie ice cream social
is planned. The event winds up late Sunday afternoon
with the final concert of the weekend at Americana
Vineyards, so plan to stay through Monday. This
weekend offers a little something for everyone.
Participants will be eligible to win an overnight
stay at the Hampton Inn in Ithaca just by leaving
their wine tasting card with us. This event is primarily
for greyhounds, their siblings and humans, but we'll
be glad to provide a doggie treat for pet owners
who have another breed of dog at home.
Ticket price is $25.00 per person with a portion
of every ticket sold donated to greyhound adoption
in New York and New Jersey.
